Cut and Paste and Color

”En train de” is a very useful phrase of French . “Je suis en train de” and add whatever it is you are in the middle of doing. Je suis en train de collage et colour aujourd’hui.
Yes. I am cutting up a few bits of that lovely graph paper inside the orange Rhodia sketch pad and a little bit of my newspaper and pasting them on my cards… and adding color on after that.
And look at the calendar. Oops. It is The very first day of July.
Hm.
Double hm.
45 or so IS a larger number than I thought.
However, I think these are going to be just fine. They just need a wee bit more time.
So everyone, Je suis en train de fun …and still smiling…because I know that you are too.
And that’s just fine.
Now pass me the scissors. And I ‘ll get right to it. Hm. Do I need a bit of jazz or would Lady Gaga spur me on? My, my, my, postcard face…
See, I am telling you , I need a break. LOL

Didn’t I just read a few days ago that you were taking a break? LOL, so, when you love something, you just wander back to it?

I wish that I hadn’t been in the middle of my break when your project got off the ground but I am so enjoying sitting back and watching as a passenger on the journey.
I have been gathering my own bits and pieces lately. Ideas and pictures. things are starting to form in my mind. Ideas, themes. Sometimes breaks are needed for space- more room for creativity to flourish again. Wonder where it will lead to?

Break starts next week and can’t come soon enough I think.. although a break to more of something we love…LOL…I think we’ll do another one of these projects in the fall…Karen Swim and I were talking a bit about that. and yes…breathing spaces… Joanna Young just did a month about those…so necessary. Je suis en train de adhering et folding aujourd’hui. And hoping to get to the P.O. before they run away for the weekend, we’ll see!
Went to Pearl Paint, my fave ginormous art store (which I don’t get to near often enough) yesterday, and drooled and drooled over all the papers I might have used… but I love the choices I’ve made.
At first I was jealous of the scope of your two group projects, but now… Glad I don’t have 45 to do. I wouldn’t be nearly so fashionable if I did.

Je suis en train d’aller à la poste aujourd’hui
Postcards were finished Thursday, wrote messages on them all on Friday, purchased envelopes on Saturday (cos my messages took up too much space, with no room left for address or stamp!), and envelopes were customised & addressed on Sunday.
So they’re finally being posted 6 days late, which, for me, is actually not too bad!
Can’t wait to see what everyone else has come up with!
