Janice,

Just a week. There's a friend up in Quebec whom I've been meaning to visit for a long while. The Kid and I dancing over the border in a couple of weeks, yippee!

Passionflowers... yes, I was thinking this morning when I read this of how when I lived up north I used to long to grow exotic things like them... so there is a benefit to being down in the scorching heat. No garden right now, but I do get to visit gardens and see all sorts of beauties that I always dreamed of. It's a hot world, but a colorful one. :)

Until later,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,
It's in the air and we have been over a 100 degrees for a week or more. Sheesh... I saw Papa on your site too! Love that quote.
I am thinking passionflowers, lemoncello and dreams of Hemingway's Paris... ahh, yep, starting next week, I think.
Are you taking a break too?

Funny how a touch of nice weather can lighten the mood and improve the workflow. Spent the other evening enjoying kabobs out on a street side table. Something nice about that even with traffic, city smells, skateboarders and an overly inquisitive sparrow.

Janice,

Ah, I'll miss you while you take your hiatus, but this doggone weather does make words swim in my head sometimes so I can understand it...

Just quoted Papa this morning, then I float over to think about him more here.

Energy, they had, there in Paris. Pent-up energy. Something in the air worldwide, maybe like now, only I hope if there's something in the air it's something very good, not another war too far on the horizon to see like it was for them!

Yes, planning a real break, oh I hope I really get to do it, and lots of little breaks. Must have those moments. For me it really is the weather. Fuzzy brain just can't perform as well, needs lots of air.

Do what you must, and I'll look forward to the return of your artful words on my screen!

Regards,

Kelly
